How do I send a date request?
Once you and another user have both liked each other, you’ll become a match and gain access to each other’s availability—as well as the type of date they’re interested in, like coffee, dinner, dessert, or something more active. From there, you can choose a day and time that works for both of you and select a suggested date idea from the app—or add your own. You’ll also have the option to include a short message with the request. This can be helpful if you want to add important details, clarify where to meet, or just show a bit of personality.
Once you send the request, the other person will be notified and has 72 hours to either accept, propose a new time, or pass. If they accept, the date is officially scheduled and messaging opens 24 hours before to help you coordinate. It stays open for 24 hours after the date too, in case you want to follow up or keep the connection going.
Twyned is designed to make asking someone out feel natural—not nerve-wracking. No pressure, no games—just a clear path to getting offline and meeting up in real life.
